weekend recap

Wow! I had a great weekend! It started off with Friday...it was our organizational day at work so we played softball all morning and had a delicious BBQ picnic for lunch. It was so fun to meet everyone's significant others, who were all brought to this lovely event! It was so much fun to see everyone having a blast and not worrying about the stresses of work.

Kyle and I made plans with my dad to cook him dinner Friday night since my mom was out of town. He invited our neighbors out there we ate an amazing dinner. Kyle cooked up some yummy pork chops with our favorite Carolina Treat and I cooked a casserole and other yummy food! It was fun to catch up with my dad and neighbors!

Since I was heading out to my parents house, I loaded up the car with as much stuff as I could so I could start moving stuff in. The car was packed with lots of stuff that I had planned on moving with the addition of sweet Lily, my friend's dog who I got to dog-sit Friday night! She's the sweetest pup and was easy-going, especailly with all the boxes she had to be hauled around with!

Lily's such a sweetheart!

Saturday morning, my dad put Kyle and me to work...washing the jet-skis and hanging three outdoor ceiling fans for him! It was fun for us to work together to get something done. It was a race against the clock because we had plans to go out to "Lockamy Farm" with our friends later to shoot skeet...so we had to hurry....

I think they turned out great! And my parents greatly appreciated our hard work! It was a great surprise for my mom to come home to from her week away with the youth of our church. We made it out just in time to go out to our friend, Tony's farm to shoot skeet, grill hotdogs, ride the four-wheeler and catch up with great friends:

**More pictures to come, soon, from this fun night at the farm!**

Two other big things happened this weekend:

1). My cat, Wasabi, came back after being gone for almost 2 months. She is a skinny mini, but is otherwise completely normal. Such a blessing! Now her sister, Ginger, has her buddy back, and they will be able to live together in my parents shed when I move out there. Dont' worry, it is a big shed and they love it! I can't have them inside because my parents' cat, Summer, gets really stressed out and we do not want to disrupt her day-to-day. Fortunately daddy's shed has lots of fun things to climb on so lots of exploring will be done. I know the kitties are so excited!

2). Our air conditioner leaked and flooded our basement--found an inch of water (not an "enchilada", Amanda haha) down there on Friday and as of this morning, the air conditioner has completely stopped working. I am glad to be leaving the old problems that this house has in about a month...no more mold, mildew, or broken appliances...thank goodness! But I will miss the times Amanda and I have shared there. I will never forget the memories of living in our little Haymont house and all the silliness that occurred! Stories to come in the future....
